This past weekend, Pinky and Donny came into town for their Chicago Engagement Pictures. Never mind the cold for this first week of Spring; this couple was fantastic and full of smiles, a lot of fun to work with. We were able to visit several locations, including Lincoln Park, Union Station, and down by the beach where I literally got my feet wet for one of my favorite shots. In addition, you will see several outfits, as Pinky wanted to honor both Vietnamese and Indian cultures. After she wore her traditional Indian sari, she changed into a bright yellow traditional Vietnamese outfit gifted to her by the groom’s mother.
On this early March day, when nature still is painted with brown and grey, Pinky’s blue, pink, and yellow color choices popped. Engagement sessions are special moment for me as a wedding photographer, and I always come away with something new. It’s definitely the best moment to learn about the Bride and Groom for the wedding day. But really, the best thing I acquire on a day like this is a new set of friends. I can’t ask for more!
