Loyola University’s Cuneo mansion, nestled in the middle of the suburbs, is an oasis for wedding-goers. The garden paths and idyllic setting made it the perfect location for Blaire and Mike’s second wedding ceremony and reception.
To honor each other and their unique traditions, they chose to have a traditional Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony at the St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Here, guests witnessed the couple tie the knot in a symbolic ceremony where the bride and groom were crowned with stefana and walked around the holy altar.
After this we headed to Cuneo mansion.
Although the day was a hot one, the skies threatened to storm and the prospect of missing out on the outdoor ceremony site overlooking the pink mansion was real. However, Blaire did her magic and clouds parted ways just in time for the beautiful ceremony held on the grounds underneath an arch that the groom had made himself. The couple read vows they had written for each other and a bagpipe player honored the Bride’s heritage. The bride and groom enjoyed each other and interacted naturally in front of the camera.
The reception was equally emotion-driven as the room was filled with laughs, smiles and some tears during heartfelt speeches. The night ended on the dance floor were guest joined the couple as they took part in the Greek folkdance of Kalamatiano. Enjoy!
Cheers!
