The most recent of my Chicago weddings had so many great moments and was all about family and friends, many of whom had traveled across the country to attend the event. Bill and Becky chose beautiful, classic wedding venues; the ceremony took place at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago and for a Saddle and Cycle Club wedding reception. In addition, there were many personalized details throughout the day which made it uniquely theirs; the inclusion of treasured heirloom wedding rings, a wedding ceremony officiated by Becky’s own pastor who spoke with a charming Irish brogue, the bagpiper who led their recessional, and a book-themed reception.
It was important to Becky to take some images at North Avenue Beach with skyline and Lake Michigan views, and she was a good sport as she wrestled with the wind in her cathedral-length veil. Having a trolley in Chicago made for easy travel between destinations, and even though the wedding took place on Michigan Avenue, Becky’s church was an oasis in the heart of the busy city. After the ceremony, she and Bill visibly relaxed and were able to enjoy the night’s festivities. I’m glad to have worked with such an outstanding couple, and hope you enjoy their moments seen below.
Cheers!
