Bears and bisons, peacocks and a giant bug, oh my. This Brookfield Zoo Wedding was truly unique. When I arrived for the getting ready documentation, David was still relaxing in his room while Jennifer and her friend were at the salon. He appeared to be a little tense like many grooms are on the day of the wedding, so he listened to some music while we spent some time hanging out. I spent some time chatting with David and could see him begin to relax.
David and Jennifer planned an intimate wedding without the typical wedding party, so I had a lot of time with the couple to photograph their first look and to go around to different locations and take some fun and intimate shots. The ceremony was held at the Roosevelt Fountain of Brookfield Zoo. Months ago, we learned that X-treme Bugs were about to invade the zoo wedding. You’ll have to imagine a 16-foot-high animatronic Japanese hornet and a peackok overlooking the wedding guests as the couple tied the knot. Afterward, this wedding was roaring fun with cocktails in the Great Bear Wilderness and a reception sabroso y rico at Bocaditos Restaurant. See for yourself!
Cheers!
