Today, we are celebrating the one year anniversary of Anthony and Holly’s Starline Factory Wedding. A vibrant young couple full of love for each other and for their families. Back when social distancing wasn’t an issue, their closest friends and family members gathered at the Starline Factory to celebrate the wedding they knew was destined to be since the day Anthony laid eyes on Holly from the stands at her high school softball game. These high school sweethearts rounded out a year of new beginnings – new house, job, car – with a long-anticipated celebration of their love.
The getting ready time was relaxed and filled with memory-making. As the bridesmaids rotated in and out of hairstyle and make-up chairs, they joked with the mother of the bride who was busy writing her speech amid laughter and smiles. The mother of the groom gave a gift to the bride and also to the groom. This was a tender moment shared between a Momma Bear and her son as she had packed a case full of items he loved in his childhood, from peanut butter M&M’s to Oreos to his favorite childhood book with a handwritten note inside. The father of the groom beamed with pride as he helped Anthony to button and turn down his collar. We found the perfect spot with a lot of natural light for the girls to gather around as Holly put on her dress and opened a letter from the groom. Then, we rode in the limo to prepare for the first look.
With a morning of steady rain and cloudy skies, we thought for sure that pictures would happen indoors, but as you can see, the skies cleared just in time for pictures outside the ivy-walled venue and an outdoor first look. Anthony, beaming in anticipation, couldn’t wait to see his bride-to-be who looked stunning in a beaded, v-neck gown with a low, open back. Holly also wore her mother’s wedding veil, taking part in a family tradition.
The bride also shared a special moment with her father who had been patiently waiting downstairs to catch a first glimpse of his girls. Father and daughter shared a special moment together before he walked her down the aisle. This moment was made even more special by the fact that he was able to walk her down the aisle after experiencing a serious foot injury.
I want to pause for a moment and discuss the outstanding venue that served as a backdrop for this event. Starline factory is a hidden gem. It is the perfect, restored vintage location for weddings and celebrations, with high ceilings, lights that reflect off of the wooden floor, original brick walls, and solid wooden beams that divide the event spaces, giving an intimate ambiance.
As the night went on, Holly and Anthony continued to add to their list of firsts: first dances, first speeches and husband and wife. Everyone had such a special and memorable day, and I’m happy to share this post with you to mark another first: their first wedding anniversary. Cheers and a very happy anniversary to a special couple. Enjoy!
Cheers!
